stating that the agency deliberately targeted her because of her work with him and to frustrate the perfection of his bail conditions.\n\nThe DSS, in a statement issued on Thursday by its Deputy Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Favour Dozie, said Zainab was detained after she was intercepted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, with an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) without an End User Certificate, as required under regulations issued by the Office of the National Security Adviser.\n\nAccording to the agency, Zainab was intercepted on July 6 while preparing to board a flight to Abuja. It said she admitted she did not have the required documents for the drone. The DSS stated that she was allowed to continue her journey to Abuja because she had a prior engagement but was directed to report on July 8 for the continuation of the investigation.\n\nThe agency added that the investigation was in line with existing regulations governing the acquisition and operation of drones in Nigeria, that the action was necessary because of security concerns surrounding the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.\n\nReacting to the statement, however, Sowore dismissed the DSS' explanation, describing it as a \"hurriedly put together fable.\" According to him, Zainab was not detained because of the drone but because she works with him and had been under the watch of the security agency for some time.
